Hi! I’m Cashmere Hawksworth and I created, operate and treat at Freyja Wellness. I have been working in the beauty industry as a makeup artist since 2006 and I have since obtained my Diploma of Beauty Therapy and trained as a remedial massage therapist via qualification with the Australian Institute of Fitness. I am married to the most amazing human, Curtis of Curtis Brownjohn Films and we have an amazing life together, working from home with our three cats for company: Tiberius, Xerxes, and Misty.

 

Starting this business has been my dream for years and to be realising it now and being able to share it with the community is incredibly satisfying. I enjoy providing customising massage services for my clients' individual needs. I feel energised and focused while massaging and to hear that I have provided some relief from pain and discomfort is a joy. I want my clients to feel like they have been "put back together" after seeing me for a treatment. Witnessing long term benefits and increased function for my clients affirms for me that I am doing precisely what I was put on this earth to do!

I also love the transformative and empowering properties of makeup and enjoy doing wedding makeup as well as performance and stage makeup. I also have an affinity for gore makeup and have designed and applied special FX makeup for many short films shot in Adelaide — including turning someone into a fish! I am an advocate for and staunch follower of the ethos that self-education is the best education. I utilise YouTube and other video-based educational resources to continually grow my knowledge base. I only perform services if I am 100% confident that I can provide them as they are intended to be performed.

 

Every treatment, tool, and product I use is vegan. I do not believe that suffering should have anything to do with prosperous humans and animal-derived ingredients or products that are tested on animals have no place at Freyja Wellness. This means that Freyja Wellness does not provide any collagen-based services.

My aim with Freyja Wellness is to be a beacon in the community, showing others how helping those in our community who are most vulnerable can be the most rewarding work. I am happy to arrange individual payment terms with clients who cannot afford treatment at cost but who desperately need the service. I have a hope to do monthly mobile beauty and wellness trips to local nursing homes and shelters.
